NHS England are delighted to launch a new suite of approved, user-friendly universal information governance templates. Using these templates will support the lawful use of data across health and care while ensuring consistency and reducing burden for information governance professionals.  

The suite covers templates for Data Protection Impact Assessments, Data Sharing and Processing Agreements, Information Assets & Flows Registers and Privacy Notices. 

Each template has been developed with expert input from frontline colleagues from a variety of local health and care organisations. They have been approved by the Health & Care IG Panel Working Group, which includes key stakeholders such as the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the Health Research Authority (HRA) and the National Data Guardian (NDG).
